Working Lunch: Heightened focus on critical race theory provides new challenges to employers

Plus, the conversation around the labor shortage gets supercharged

The political food fight around systemic racism and its potential causes and remedies is putting employers in an increasingly difficult spot. A major employer was involved in a significant backlash this week. On the Working Lunch podcast, the team from Align Public Strategies discusses what implications their experience can have for other employers.

The national conversation around the labor shortage got supercharged this week as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce called for the discontinuance of supplemental unemployment benefits and several red states moved to cut off enhanced federal jobless benefits that were supposed to last until September.

The team discusses those issues and the episode wraps up with the weekly legislative scorecard.
