Bob Evans Farms Restaurants is rolling out all-day brunch at its 523 locations in the wake of improved breakfast sales at the family-dining chain.
“Brunch is a perfect marriage of what Bob Evans does best: breakfast and lunch,” John Fisher, president of Bob Evans Restaurants, said in a release announcing the menu change. “With our introduction of brunch, we are combining our amazing breakfast expertise with the innovative taste offerings that are at the heart of the Bob Evans menu.”
In the quarter ended Oct. 28, 2016, Bob Evans Inc. reported a 1.8 percent decline in same store sales — part of an ongoing decline — but breakfast sales were up, albeit by a modest 0.1 percent, and off-premise breakfast orders were up 6.5 percent. Furthermore, breakfast items sold well all day, the company reported.
The New Albany, Ohio-based chain is adding seven new items to its menu for brunch.
