On Tuesday, Sept. 15, Nation’s Restaurant News’ Senior Data Editor Al Liddle will go live on NRN’s Facebook page to talk more about this year’s annual Top 200 data, including the Top 100 Companies data and the Next Generation.
The Top 100 Companies data, released in August, ranks the largest restaurant companies by U.S. foodservice revenue. The full report ranks the companies by growth in U.S. foodservice revenue. This year’s data signals trouble ahead for the industry, with revenue and growth beginning to show the coronavirus pandemic’s impact – but also reflects a year of mergers and acquisitions.
The Next Generation report, released earlier this month, introduces readers to 10 restaurant chains on the rise, poised to join the Top 200 ranking in the near future. Deviating from the past, in 2020 NRN excluded previously spotlighted brands to make room for more “new faces.”
