Eating gets personal at Foodscape 2

The food industry is shifting. It’s sucking in elements from Silicon Valley, America’s health and pharma industries, and even beauty. Imagine going to your local supermarket to take a DNA test that shows what functional foods should be in your diet – foods like collagen which may promote joint and skin health. This technology, these food trends, and this convergence are coming fast and there’s only one place to experience them now: Foodscape 2.

“Foodscape is the place to get the scoop on what’s happening next in the world of food. You just have to be there,” said Jack Li of Datassential. “From DNA diets to transformative technology like artificial intelligence and tomorrow’s flavor trends, you'll gain a true insider’s perspective about the new forces revolutionizing eating and drinking.”

Entering its second year, speakers and guests at Foodscape 2 will explore these forces and how they will shape the industry. Kicking off F2, award-winning filmmaker, author, and journalist Max Lugavere will discuss functional foods for the brain. Max is the author of the New York Times bestseller Genius Foods: Become Smarter, Happier, and More Productive While Protecting Your Brain for Life.

Foodscape 2 will also dive into the growing popularity of hyper-personalized nutrition and the technology that will bring it about. Some other unconventional hot topics on tap include the intersection of food and beauty – did you know the two industries are colliding?

“Our team is crafting a truly extraordinary event. It’s more than a conference, it’s a truly hands-on experience where you won’t just learn about the trends, you’ll give them a test drive,” Li said.

Like last year, the latest research on food and flavor trends will be presented along with an update on one of the fastest-growing movements: plant-based eating.
