Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. said same-store sales for the Dec. 27-ended fourth quarter declined 2 percent. For the full year, same-store sales rose 2.1 percent.
Denny’s Corp. is expecting to end fiscal 2015 with its highest annual same-store sales growth in more than a decade, with systemwide domestic comparisons rising 5.8 percent, the company said Monday.
Southlake, Texas-based Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group Inc. said Tuesday that its blended same-store sales decreased 2.2 percent at its three brands in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 29. Same-store sales declined 4.5 percent at Del Frisco’s Grille, 1.8 percent at Sullivan’s Steakhouse and 1.6 percent at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House. Del Frisco’s has 50 full-service restaurants across the three brands.
Atlanta-based Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Inc. said Tuesday that global same-store sales for its Dec. 27-ended fourth quarter rose 2.8 percent, rolling over a 9.8-percent increase in the fourth quarter a year ago, based on preliminary unaudited results. For the full year, global same-store sales increased 5.9 percent, higher than the company’s previously projected range of between 5 percent to 5.5 percent.
Wingstop Inc. same-store sales in the U.S. increased 5.9 percent in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 26 and 7.9 percent in fiscal 2015, the company said Monday. The Dallas-based chicken-wing chain, which is expected to release full fourth-quarter earnings in early February, said the unaudited results exceeded earlier guidance for same-store sales.
Dallas-based Rave Restaurant Group Inc. said Monday that its fast-casual Pie Five Pizza Co. brand saw a 1.6-percent decline in same-store sales for the second quarter ended Dec. 27, and a 1.7-percent decrease at its Pizza Inn buffets. Rave had more than 300 restaurants at the end of the quarter, with 82 of those under the Pie Five flag.
Del Taco Restaurants Inc. said Monday that systemwide same-store sales increased 5.8 percent for the Dec. 29-ended fourth quarter, including a 5.9-percent increase among company-owned units.
The increase at company locations was a result of check growth of 6 percent, including more than 2 percent in menu mix growth and a 0.1-percent decline in transactions, according to preliminary results.
For the year, the company expects systemwide same-store sales growth of about 6.3 percent, including a 6.4-percent increase at company-owned restaurants and a 6.2-percent increase at franchised units.

The Habit Restaurants Inc. said Monday that same-store sales at company-owned units rose 3.3 percent in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 29. The results were driven by a 3.5-percent increase in average transaction offset by a 0.2-percent decline in number of transactions. The Irvine, Calif.-based fast-casual burger chain has more than 140 restaurants in nine states.
