NRN invites emerging concepts to submit for Breakout Brands

Annual list will spotlight young chains with unique offerings and aspirations for growth.

Nation’s Restaurant News announced its upcoming Breakout Brands report, an annual list recognizing exciting emerging concepts that will feature in the publication’s March issue.

This year, NRN is inviting the industry to participate in Breakout Brands by nominating concepts deserving of the honor.

“There are emerging concepts all over the country that feature unique menus and branding and that have potential to become major success stories, but many of them fly under the radar,” said Sam Oches, editor in chief of NRN. “To make sure we consider all noteworthy concepts and give them the spotlight they deserve, we’re inviting the industry to nominate concepts for the 2023 edition of Breakout Brands.”

To qualify for Breakout Brands, restaurants must have 2–10 units and be founded in 2017 or after. NRN will consider brands based on the uniqueness of their menus and branding, the thoughtfulness of their brand missions, and their potential for growth.

Interested brand representatives can nominate their restaurants by clicking here. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on February 3. For more on Breakout Brands, read the 2022 edition here.
