Smoothie King names Chris Bremer chief development officer

The quick-service restaurant appoints former TGI Friday’s executive to lead development

Quick-service Smoothie King named Chris Bremer its new chief development officer, the restaurant chain announced on Wednesday.

We are thrilled to welcome Chris Bremer to our executive leadership team,” said Wan Kim, CEO of Smoothie King, in a statement. “Chris is an exemplary, purposeful leader, possessing a passion for leading teams in the food & beverage and hospitality industries and will undoubtedly make invaluable contributions to our rapidly-growing franchise system.”

Prior to joining Smoothie King, Bremer was with TGI Friday’s for six years, ending as the development director in Asia Pacific. Before that, he was vice president of global franchise development at Brinker International.

Most recently, Bremer was chief development officer at Nothing Bundt Cakes.

As chief development officer at Smoothie King, Bremer will be responsible for implementing strategies to meet Smoothie King's ongoing expansion plans and overseeing the franchise development, real estate, design, and construction departments. 

Smoothie King is based in Coppell, Texas, and currently has over 1,300 locations internationally.
