McDonald’s has officially announced its new value platform, unsurprisingly called McValue, which will launch Jan. 7 nationwide. The platform features the $5 Meal Deal, initially launched in June, as well as exclusive in-app offers, local food and drink deals, and a new Buy One, Add One for $1 offer.

Subway, meanwhile, is ditching its latest value offer. The fast-food sandwich giant will end a $6.99 6-inch meal deal that it has sold in its restaurants since Nov. 3, according to a system message seen by Restaurant Business.

Danny Meyer is recreating a rotating restaurant over New York’s theater district. Nancy Silverton is bringing her Osteria Mozza to Washington, D.C., in partnership with Stephen Starr. These are just a few of the new openings across the country this fall and winter, which are coming fast and furious. See the full lineup at RestaurantBusinessOnline.com.
