The unit has a dual-sided drive-thru with a dedicated pick-up window and one lane designated for online and mobile orders.

If they don’t mind getting out of their cars, customers also have the contact-free option of picking up their digital orders from carryout lockers.

Jimmy John’s, which was acquired by Atlanta-based Inspire Brands in 2019, has about 2,600 locations across 43 states. The new prototype appears designed to lean into the brand motto of being “freaky fast.”

“Jimmy John’s has always been at the forefront of the industry, particularly when it comes to listening to our customers,” said Andrew Bello, Inspire Brands’ vice president of design and architecture. “This new drive-thru only model represents our continued commitment to evolve with our customers and serve the best, freshest sandwiches with speed and efficiency.”
