Zoës Kitchen, a Mediterranean-inspired fast-casual restaurant, promoted Kevin Miles to the post of chief executive last month.
Miles, formerly Zoës’ president and chief operating officer, succeeds Greg Dollarhyde, who left the position last year but remains chairman.
Miles joined Birmingham, Ala.-based Zoës Kitchen in 2009 as executive vice president of operations and was promoted to president and COO in 2011.
Rahul Aggarwal, managing director of Zoës Kitchen parent and private-equity firm Brentwood Associates, said in a statement that Miles’ “extensive experience in the fast-casual industry has allowed for the implementation of unique strategies and the creation of internal teams that have consistently delivered industry-leading results.”
As chief executive, Miles will oversee Zoës Kitchen’s brand development and operations.
Before joining Zoës, Miles worked with such concepts as La Madeleine French Bakery and Café, Baja Fresh Mexican Grill and Pollo Campero.
Zoës Kitchen has 68 locations in 12 states.
