Pizza Hut has named Helen Vaid to the newly created position of chief customer officer, effective Sept. 26, the company said late Monday.
The Plano, Texas-based pizza operator said Vaid “will oversee the transformation of the Pizza Hut in-restaurant and digital customer experience.”
“One of the key priorities for Pizza Hut has always been putting the customer experience at the heart of everything we do,” said Milind Pant, president of Pizza Hut International, in a statement.
“To truly provide the best customer experience possible, we must make it easier to get a better pizza by boldly approaching the online and offline experience as a whole, and Helen’s experience and thought leadership matches perfectly with this vision,” Pant said.
In addition to overseeing the customer experience, Vaid will lead the international e-commerce, technology and operations business for Pizza Hut, the company said.
“I look forward to further shaping Pizza Hut in a way that provides the best customer experience in the industry,” Vaid said in a statement.
Vaid was most recently Walmart’s vice president of digital store operations and experience. Prior to her role at Walmart, Vaid was a general manager at Snapfish, a web-based photo-sharing and photo-printing company.
Pizza Hut is subsidiary of Louisville, Ky.-based Yum! Brands Inc. The operator has more than 16,000 restaurants in more than 100 nations.
