Hopdoddy names new VP of food and beverage

Mark Adair will oversee culinary innovation at burger-and-beer chain

Hopdoddy Burger Bar has named Mark Adair to the newly created position of vice president of food and beverage, the company said Tuesday.

Adair will oversee the burger-and-beer chain’s culinary innovation, including seasonal specials, and foster relationships with purveyors.

Most recently, Adair was vice president of research and development for Bloomin’ Brands Inc. subsidiary Bonefish Grill. Over the past 30 years, he has worked at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, and at luxury resorts in Hawaii, Colorado, California and Arizona.

“We’re thrilled with the direction that Hopdoddy is heading, and we know chef Adair will be a crucial part of our expansion and growth,” Hopdoddy CEO Jeff Chandler said in a press release. “Our guests can look forward to new menu items, delicious specials and a continued effort toward being the best burger joint in the country.”

Founded in 2010, Austin, Texas-based Hopdoddy operates 17 restaurants in Texas, Arizona, Colorado and California.
