Goodcents Deli Fresh Subs has promoted Scott Ford to the newly created position of president, the company said Monday.
Ford will retain his current role as chief operating officer of the chain of more than 80 sandwich shops, based in De Soto, Kan.
In addition to his previous responsibilities of daily operations and human resources, Ford will also oversee franchise growth, strategy and the overall customer experience, the company said in a press release.
Before joining Goodcents in 2010, Ford held leadership positions at Boston Market, McDonald’s and Applebee’s. Over the past year he led development of a new mobile app and online ordering system as part of a broader digital strategy, the company said. He also oversaw the chain’s new restaurant prototype, which included drive-thru digital ordering kiosks. Additionally, he introduced a new area representative agreement to accelerate franchise expansion.
“We have aggressive growth plans for our business, and we need a strong leader to help us achieve them,” Goodcents chairman and CEO Joe Bisogno said in the release. “Scott knows the business and has played a key role in innovating our brand and strengthening the experience for our customers, employees and owners. I’m confident he is the right person to accelerate our growth moving forward.”
Ford said he was looking forward to his new position.
“We have a strong brand and a strong team that is poised for rapid growth,” he said. “I’m excited at the opportunities ahead of us and look forward to continuing to build on our success.”
