Del Frisco’s names new VP of operations

Ray Risley was promoted to the newly created position

Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group Inc. has promoted Ray Risley to the new position of vice president of operations for its Sullivan’s Steakhouse brand, the company said this week.

Risley, a 15-year Del Frisco’s veteran, will oversee the redesign of Sullivan’s Steakhouse’s 19 units across the country, the Southlake, Texas-based company said.

“We are thrilled to promote one of our own to lead the continued growth of Sullivan’s Steakhouses,” Del Frisco’s chief executive Mark S. Mednansky said in a statement. “His enthusiasm and expertise will help shape and define Sullivan’s Steakhouse as the brand continues to evolve.”

Sullivan’s recently introduced a new menu, and other updates are planned, the company said.

Risley joined the company as general manager of Sullivan’s Steakhouse in Dallas in 1998. Since then, he has served as general manager of Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House in New York, and worked as a general and regional manager in the Del Frisco’s group.

“I want everyone who walks into a Sullivan’s Steakhouse to have the same great first impression that I had 15 years ago when I walked into Sullivan’s for the first time,” Risley said.

Besides Sullivan’s, Del Frisco's Restaurant Group owns and operates Del Frisco's Grille and Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House. It has more than 35 restaurants across its brands.
