17 executives on the move at restaurant companies in June

Last month saw many presidents and CEOs named to new positions

June was the month of presidents. Four were named last month alone in the restaurant industry, from Nextbite naming a new co-president to Scooter’s Coffee naming one for itself.

There were also CEO appointments in June. Dave & Buster’s named a new CEO amid the closure of its Main Event acquisition, and emerging chains Fresh Brothers and Eegee’s named new chief executives as well.

At Starbucks, yet another executive made the decision to leave. This time, it was the woman behind the company’s anti-union stance. This marks the third executive to leave the company in two months.

There were also plenty of retirements in the month of June. Paul Murphy, who always said he would retire at the end of his contract with Red Robin, officially announced his retirement, to take place at the end of the year. El Pollo Loco’s COO also announced his retirement. The search for both replacements is underway.
