2018’s restaurant mergers and acquisitions

Over the last 12 months, there have been more than 40 mergers and acquisitions in the restaurant industry. These included the creation of a new group housing fast casual, quick service, and casual dining brands; and companies acquiring niche concept groups. Several large companies were sold, including Buffalo Wild Wings and Real Mex, while chef-owners made big moves of their own.
