NRN video of the week: Denny's kicks off ad in collaboration with LucasFilm

The family-dining operator teases out trading cards inspired by upcoming Star Wars film

Denny's, headquartered in Spartanburg, S.C., released a series of promotions, including a Star Wars-themed menu, in partnership with LucasFilm for the upcoming movie "Solo: A Star Wars Story." Among the exclusive offers are Solo-themed trading cards, as showcased in this ad spot launched on April 2.

The collaboration is a recent move in the family-dining chain's campaign to revitalize its brand and appeal to younger demographics.

Denny's posted an image of the promotional trading cards on its official Facebook page on April 9. A portion of the sales from the 12 collectible trading cards, available at its 1,700 restaurants, will benefit No Kid Hungry. The organization is committed to ending child hunger in America.

The operator also posted the Solo trailer on Facebook.
