The Chicago joint is partnering with pastry chefs across the country for a cookie swap, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Deborah’s Place, a local nonprofit organization that provides temporary and permanent supportive housing for women in need. Now through Dec. 24, Publican Quality Meats is offering cookies made from popular recipes by Nancy Silverton of Pizzeria Mozza, Joanne Chang of Flour Bakery + Cafe, Jessica Koslow of SQIRL, Dianne Yang of Spoon and Stable, Dolester Miles of Highlands Bar & Grill, Anna Posey of Elske, Erika Chan of Publican Quality Meats and its sister concepts The Publican and Anker.
Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar
The casual-dining chain introduced the Dollar Jolly, a festive drink created in partnership with Jolly Rancher. The vodka-based cocktail comes in two flavors of Jolly Rancher mix: Cherry or Green Apple. As the name indicates, the holiday beverage is only $1 and is served with a Jolly Rancher candy on the side. Applebee’s is based in Glendale, Calif., and has more than 1,800 locations worldwide.
The Los Angeles restaurant from chef and owner Adam Sobel, in collaboration with Michael Mina and Mina Group, is hosting a Holiday Italian Canned Food Drive through Dec. 23. Guests who give away any Italian canned or nonperishable food item will receive a complimentary cocktail or dessert. The donations will go to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Cal Mare is also donating $5 from every Malibu Marg cocktail ordered through Dec. 23 to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation for the organization’s Malibu disaster relief. In addition to its philanthropic efforts, the restaurant will serve a four-course Christmas Eve menu on Dec. 24 for $68.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit
The fast-casual barbecue restaurant is embracing the altruistic spirit of the season by partnering with Toys for Tots and its own foundation, The Dickey Foundation, to benefit the children of the military communities across America. Through the end of December, guests can donate toys at their local Dickey’s unit or make a monetary gift to support first responders. Dickey’s is based in Dallas with more than 500 stores.
This contemporary Mexican restaurant, with three locations in New York, will celebrate with a tribute to Oaxaca, a southern state in Mexico known for its mole sauces, from Dec. 19 to 30. During the festivities, chef Roberto Santibañez will feature several menu items inspired by his grandmother’s recipes. The dishes will highlight three different kinds of Oaxacan mole: Verde, Amarillo and Coloradito. Fonda has also partnered with tequila brand DeLeón Tequila to offer three holiday cocktails through Dec. 30. A dollar from every holiday cocktail sold will support Project Paz with its efforts to help families who lost their homes during the two earthquakes that struck Mexico last year.

For the holiday season, the quick-service chain is offering new ice cream flavors including Dark Chocolate Peppermint and Milk & Cookies as well as the Red Velvet Peppermint Cake. These limited-time offers are available until Jan. 8. Cold Stone is based in Scottsdale, Ariz., and has nearly 1,500 locations worldwide.

Pastry chef Elaine Townsend has an interesting take on a yule log for the holiday crowds at this Chicago spot. She combines coconut, almond and crushed Goya Maria cookies — the elements of Bolo Menino, a Macanese cake — into a sponge cake. The cake is then filled, rolled and frosted to resemble the traditional yule log. Townsend finishes the dessert with handmade pieces of dark chocolate that resemble tree bark, white chocolate “snow” and candied rosemary.
As an option for those who want to enjoy an easy holiday meal at home, Mimi’s is offering a Ham Feast that serves up to 10 people. Priced at $104.99, the meal set comes with a sliced and smoked ham with an orange-Dijon herb glaze, an assortment of sides, including mashed potatoes and green bean casserole, a pumpkin pie and a pecan pie. Mimi’s is based in Dallas and operates over 80 restaurants.
The chain added multiple menu items for the holiday season including peppermint mocha ice cream and hot chocolate ice cream. Both flavors are also available as an affogato, a new offering, as well as a scoop, NitroShake, ice cream sandwich, Creation and Bubble Waffle ice cream. The new treats are available through Jan. 15. Creamistry is based in Irvine, Calif., and has more than 55 shops.
Egg Shop, with two locations in New York, is offering The Egg Shop Anonymous Eggnog, a dairy-free eggnog, as a special treat for the season.
The quick-service chain currently offers the Oreo Hot Cocoa Blizzard Treat and the Candy Cane Chill Blizzard Treat on its menu as seasonal limited-time offers. Dairy Queen, based in Minneapolis, has over 6,800 units.
