Burger King introduces holiday dessert LTOs

The new items highlight gingerbread and ice cream

Burger King introduced two gingerbread-flavored ice cream treats as limited-time holiday desserts on Thursday.

“As part of our latest menu innovations, we are delighted to offer our Burger King guests delicious new items that are inspired by holiday flavors of home,” said Roberta Colleta, vice president of North America marketing, Miami-based Burger King Worldwide.

New on the dessert menu is a Gingerbread Cookie Sundae made with vanilla soft-serve ice cream and gingersnap cookie crumbles, topped with sweet gingerbread-flavored sauce for $2.49. The new items also include a Gingerbread Cookie Shake made with vanilla soft-serve ice cream, gingerbread syrup and whipped topping for $1.99.

The two desserts will be available starting Oct. 18 and will be offered while supplies last, according to a Burger King spokesperson.

Along with the holiday desserts, Burger King is promoting an item that is already on its menu: Cinnabon Minibon Rolls, which are small, hot cinnamon rolls topped with icing, for $1.99.

In April, Burger King said it planned to roll out Minibons at more than 7,000 restaurant locations in the U.S. by September after testing the item in various markets over several months. The Burger King chain includes more than 12,500 locations worldwide.
