Carl’s Jr., Hardee’s introduce new chicken sandwich (press release)
Just in time to take advantage of chicken’s favorable food costs, compared to rising beef prices, CKE Restaurants Inc. has introduced the Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich at its Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s chains. The Carpinteria, Calif.-based company said the five-ounce chicken fillet is the largest among the offerings at all other quick-service chains and will sell for $3.99, or $6.49 in a combo. A second flavor, the Bacon Swiss Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich, also will be sold for $4.99 or $7.49 in a combo.
