Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar launches spring menu

New sandwiches, salads, bowls and drinks on offer

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar has launched a menu for spring that includes 11 new menu items and five beverages.

Co-founder Gabe Caliendo developed the menu, which focuses on “bright ingredients for bold, flavorful dishes.”

The new items are:

Street Corn Wheels: Corn grilled with lime, garlic, queso blanco, cilantro and the popular Mexican seasoning Tajín, $6.50

Burrata & Roasted Beet Salad: Field greens, burrata cheese, candied walnuts, heirloom tomatoes, crushed sweet peaches and sea salt, $10.50

Housemade BBQ Veggie Burger: A patty of black beans, ancient grains, beets and vegetables topped with roasted garlic, barbecue sauce, Jack cheese, fried onions, pickle and tomato, $10.50

Housemade Veggie Burger Bowl: A cut-up veggie burger in a bowl with avocado, baby kale, black sesame seeds, marinated tomatoes, lentils, roasted red peppers, spicy carrots, lemon vinaigrette and a side of tahini, $11.25

Grilled Salmon Sandwich: Grilled salmon, aioli, tomato, peanut-sesame slaw and red onions on a brioche bun, $13.95

Grilled Lemon Chicken: Marinated and grilled chicken breast, mashed cauliflower, sautéed green beans and heirloom tomatoes with almond-walnut crumble and tahini, $17.50

Three brunch items have also been added:

Donut Holes: Fried doughnut balls tossed in cinnamon sugar and served with Nutella dip, $4.95

Steak and Eggs Benedict: Certified Angus beef flat-iron steak with poached eggs, sautéed bell peppers, onions, tomato gravy, smoked paprika hollandaise and cilantro over smashed potato hush puppies, $14.95

Bacon N Egg Mac N Cheese: macaroni and cheese with bacon, Hatch chiles, five-cheese blend, buttermilk biscuit crumble, a fried egg and parsley, $6.25

The 25-unit chain has added two desserts for the season:

Peach Raspberry Hand Pie: Raspberry purée, peaches, cinnamon and sugar in a pie crust with salted caramel sauce, served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, $7.95

Triple Layer Lemon Cake: Gluten-free cake with lemon buttercream, almond-flour vanilla cake, huckleberry sauce, lemon curd and whipped cream, $7.50

Lazy Dog is also offering five seasonal drinks:

Honey Thyme Old Fashioned: Buffalo Trace bourbon, Cointreau, Amaro Montenegro, honey, thyme and orange peel, $9.95

Tincup Whiskey Sour: Tincup Mountain whiskey, sweet-and-sour mix, yuzu bitters, rosemary and Meyer lemon foam, $8.95

Huckleberry Mule: American craft vodka, Acacia rosé wine, grapefruit juice, cranberry juice, sugarcane, St-Germain liqueur and elderflower foam, $9.25

Also available are ginger-lime and tropical orange sparkling sodas, priced at $2.95 each.
