Bloomin' Brands 2Q revenue reaches $1B

All brands report same-store sales increase for the quarter

Bloomin’ Brands Inc. revenue reached $1 billion during the second quarter ended June 30, while menu prices and consumer traffic helped drive an increase in same-store sales, the company said in a statement. According to chief executive Elizabeth Smith, the quarter marked the company’s 13th consecutive period of reported same-store sales growth.
 

NET INCOME

Result: $74.9 million, or 58 cents per share
% Increase: 330.3% (from $17.4 million, or 16 cents per share)

REVENUE

Result: $1.0 billion
% Increase: 3.9% (from $980.9 million)

SAME-STORE SALES

% Increase: 2.0% overall for domestic company-owned restaurants
(2.8% at Outback, 0.3% at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 0.2% at Bonefish Grill, 3.8% at Flemings Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar)
