Mama Fu’s names new marketing chief

Jamie Cohen joins brand along with delivery, digital executives

Mama Fu’s Asian House has named industry veteran Jamie Cohen (left) to the new position of chief marketing officer, the company said Wednesday.

The Austin, Texas-based fast-casual brand, operated by the Murphy Adams Restaurant Group, also added Hemesh Patel as director of delivery and guest logistics and Erika Lingonblad as digital marketing manager.

“Our additions to the Mama Fu’s team are instrumental to the continued growth of our company,” said Randy Murphy, Mama Fu’s CEO, said in a statement.

“I am confident the experience and knowledge brought by Jamie, Hemesh and Erika will offer us innovative insight and vision.”

Before joining Mama Fu’s, Cohen worked with the Houston-based Jason’s Deli for 24 years. The company said he will be involved in new store designs, menu items and product launches.

Patel had worked as an area manager with Instacart. Lingonblad had worked with Spurs Sports & Entertainment, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment and the Cox Media group.

Mama Fu’s has 28 locations, including two in the United Arab Emirates.
