Torchy’s Tacos names new executives

Brand creates new marketing, human resources posts

Torchy’s Tacos has named its first chief marketing and chief people officers, the company said Monday.

The Austin-based fast-casual company said it has named Scott Hudler, left, chief marketing officer and Elizabeth Baxter chief people officer.

“I’m very excited to have Scott and Elizabeth as part of the leadership team to help us write the next chapter of growth for this amazing brand,” said G.J. Hart, who was named Torchy’s CEO last January.

Hudler most recently was chief marketing officer for Dick’s Sporting Goods. Previously, he was  chief digital officer at Dunkin’ Brands Inc.

Baxter, left, most recently was senior director for performance management at Walmart.

“Scott and Elizabeth bring the right blend of large-company experience and entrepreneurial spirit that will help drive the brand through its next phase of growth,” said Hart in a statement.

Torchy’s Tacos, found in 2006 in Austin, has 60 locations in Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas.
