Roberto De Angelis has been named chief experience officer for the multiconcept Amici Partners Group, parent to the Friendly’s Restaurant and Brix Holdings brands, the company said Wednesday.

De Angelis worked previously at P.F. Chang’s for 18 years, most recently serving as chief operating officer for global development.

At Amici Partners Group, De Angelis will oversee menu innovation, concept development and the overall guest experience across the portfolio of national chains, which include Friendly’s and the Brix brands: Orange Leaf, Smoothie Factory, Red Mango, Souper Salad, RedBrick Pizza, Greenz Salads for Z’Adventurous and Humble Donuts.

“The addition of Roberto and the recent hiring of David Ellis as CMO position our brands with additional talent, resources and experience to enable accelerated organic growth and new acquisitions,” said John Antioco, chair and managing member of Dallas-based JAMCO Interests LLC, the majority stakeholder of Amici and Brix.
