BRIX Holdings LLC, parent company of restaurant chains Friendly’s, Red Mango, Orange Leaf, Smoothie Factory, Souper Salad, RedBricks Pizza, and Humble Donuts, has promoted Sherif Mityas to CEO and named Dawn Petite brand president for Friendly’s Restaurant Group.
Mityas was named the group’s president in January.
Petite, who has worked for the Friendly’s brand for more than 40 years, has been named its president.
Before joining Friendly's, Mityas was chief experience officer of TGI Fridays and before that was CEO of Hollywood Video/Movie Gallery.
"I’m honored for the opportunity to lead our world-class restaurant portfolio,” Mityas said in a press release announcing his promotion. "We have an exceptional group of brands, team members and franchisees that will help drive our growth and success as we build for the future.”
Petite has taken on the newly created role of brand president for Friendly’s, having most recently been the family-dining chain’s chief experience officer. Before that she was chief operating officer of J&B Restaurant Partners, one of the largest franchisees of Friendly’s 130-unit system..
