Chuck E. Cheese completes market remodel in South Florida

10-unit refresh with updated seating and charging stations to provide system insights

CEC Entertainment LLC has completed the market-wide remodel of 10 locations in South Florida and expects them to provide insights into future refresh projects, the company announced Thursday.

Irving, Texas-based CEC said the locations offer new technology featuring games with varying skill levels for players, an interactive dance floor, device-charging stations and a 200-inch LED video wall.

“This is the first market-wide reimage and will provide insight and direction for future entire DMA [designated market area] remodels,” a company spokesperson said. The Florida locations are in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Hialeah, Kendall, North Miami, Pembroke Pines, Pompano Beach, South Dade, Sunrise and West Palm Beach.

“The locations also feature updated seating to accommodate larger groups,” a spokesperson said.

Each of the South Florida locations now features, on average, 15 new games, the company noted.

The new light-up dance floor doubles as the centerstage for Chuck E. LIVE shows every hour on the half-hour.

The locations also feature updated seating to accommodate larger groups, complete with charging stations for electronic devices.

“Every one of the South Florida Fun Centers are now fully upgraded and our guests can enjoy the exciting new experience that takes Chuck E. Cheese to the next level for family fun,” said Sherri Landry, CEC Entertainment chief marketing officer, in a statement.

As part of the remodel program, the South Florida locations are hosting a month-long fundraiser, which began June 1, for Little Smiles Florida. Guests can round up purchases to the nearest dollar and donate the difference, and Chuck E. Cheese will match the dollar amount up to a $5,000 total.

CEC Entertainment owns and franchises nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese and more than 120 Peter Piper Pizza locations in 47 states and 17 foreign countries and territories. CEC also owns the virtual Pasqually's Pizza & Wings concept.
