SEATTLE Taco Del Mar Franchising Corp. said Tuesday it has named Elizabeth Andreini chief marketing officer of the more than 230-unit quick-service Mexican chain, effective immediately.
The appointment is one of a number of executive changes at the Seattle-based company under new president and chief executive Larry Destro, who joined the company in May. He replaced co-founder James Schmidt, who stepped down to focus on other restaurant concepts he was developing in the Seattle area.
In September, Destro hired Rick Braa as chief financial officer. Andreini replaces former chief marketing officer Erin Gilbert, who left the company for reasons unexplained last week.
Andreini comes to the company with extensive experience in marketing and business strategy, including brand positioning and differentiation, the company said. She previously served as president of Accelerate Marketing, a Seattle-based marketing firm that has helped develop businesses in the U.S. and internationally.
