Domino’S Program Delivers Ownership Dream To 3 Minority Employees

ANN ARBOR MICH. Domino’s Pizza, through its “Delivering the Dream” financial assistance program, has helped three minority management employees open their own stores and expects to aid five more this year. —

Domino’s, the Ann Arbor-based owner or franchisor of more than 8,300 stores around the globe, partnered with GE Capital Franchise Finance Corp. last year to launch the program. —

Each candidate for store ownership is granted a scholarship based in part on individual need. Candidates also must meet store performance criteria and have good credit. —

Financial support can take the form of monetary awards or financial incentives, Domino’s guarantee on GE financing loans, and loans of up to $250,000 per store. —

With the help of the program, employees who were general managers or had equivalent management-level experience with Domino’s opened their own Domino’s restaurants last year in Baker City, Ore.; Horizon City, Texas; and Philadelphia. —
