CHARLOTTE N.C. Cans Bar & Canteen, based here, has combined NCR Corp. terminals and Menusoft's Digital Dining point-of-sale software to improve the efficiency of servers in its Charlotte, Chicago and Milwaukee bar, nightclub and restaurant operations, company officials indicated.
"We love the NCR RealPOS 20 [hardware] for its bright screen, speed and reliability," said David Mayerchin, Cans' vice president of operations. "Paired with customizable Digital Dining software, this solution allows our servers to work more quickly and efficiently in our very busy environment."
Sources at Dayton, Ohio-based NCR said Cans is deploying handheld POS terminals, as well as the technology company's small footprint RealPOS 20 terminal and the software of Springfield, Va.-based Menusoft. Deployment and final configuration of the combination technology package was handled by integrator Atlantic Restaurant Systems of Raleigh, N.C., they added.
