LOS ANGELES uWink Inc., the new dining and entertainment venture from Chuck E. Cheese founder Nolan Bushnell, said it has inked its first franchise deal, an area development agreement for up to three units in Florida's Miami-Dade County.
Under the pact, franchisee OCC Partners LLC is obliged to open the food-and-games outlets within the next four years.
The restaurants would be uWink's first outlets on the East Coast. The prototype, featuring table-top touch-screen ordering and game screens, opened here last year.
