BURLINGTON Vt. Bruegger’s Enterprises Inc. has signed a development agreement with Hart Street LLC that calls for the opening of 20 bakery-cafes in New York City over the next seven years.
Hart Street is owned and operated by New York real-estate developers Ghias Bhuiyan and Sami Kabir. Their first Bruegger’s store is expected to open later this year.
For the second quarter ended July 8, Bruegger’s reported systemwide sales of $46 million, an 11.3-percent increase over the same quarter a year ago. The 280-unit company is based here.
