The 126 restaurant chains in the Consumer Picks survey vary widely in menu, atmosphere and service style, but the strongest ones all manage to create a deep connection with diners. The Consumer Picks report aims to quantify that all-important X factor with a metric called True Loyalty.

Survey respondents were asked if their last visit to each chain was driven by convenience or by a true desire to experience that brand. The resulting True Loyalty score is the percentage of visits that were motivated by the brand and not by circumstance. See how all the chains in the survey performed below.
