Little Caesars Pizza was a clear leader among brands rated on their value proposition, with 80 percent of Consumer Picks respondents saying the company, known for its $5-Hot-N-Ready pepperoni pizza, was “best in class” or “above average.”

The Detroit-based Little Caesars topped such brands as Cook Out, Papa Murphy’s, In-N-Out Burger and Cici’s.

The brand, which has more than 4,300 units in all 50 states, as of late September had completed installation in nearly all U.S. stores of the Pizza Portal, which allows customers to order and pay for pies on their app. The app notifies the customer when the order is ready, and they can pick it up from a heated self-service station in the stores that’s activated with a three-digit passcode or a QR code.
