The brand’s two largest franchise groups, 1069 Restaurant Group LLC of Winter Park, Fla., and Platinum Corral LLC of Jacksonville, N.C., filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and closed units because of the pandemic.

Before the pandemic, some locations began offering “Golden Corral to Go” and delivery. With COVID-19 restrictions, Golden Corral expanded services to include curbside pickup.
