Primanti Bros. names first marketing chief

Adam Golomb joins Pittsburgh-based brand from Giant Eagle

Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar has named Adam Golomb as the company’s first chief marketing officer, the company announced Thursday.

The Pittsburgh-based casual-dining restaurant company said Golomb, who previously worked as a gift-card merchandising director at Giant Eagle, is overseeing Primanti Bros.' marketing strategy, menu development and concept strategy.

Golomb assumed the post in December and reports to Primanti CEO David Head.

"With Adam's unique skillset and experience, he is a natural choice to lead the marketing efforts, which will help expand the Primanti Bros. concept," said Head in a statement.

Prior to Giant Eagle, Adam worked with Eat'n Park Hospitality Group in various marketing roles. In addition to more than 60 Eat’n Park restaurants, the Homestead, Pa.-based company operates independent concepts including Hello Bistro and The Porch.

"I am thrilled to be joining the Primanti's team at a pivotal time in the company's growth," Golomb said in a statement.

Primanti was founded in 1933 as a sandwich lunch cart in Pittsburgh.  It now has 44 locations in seven states.
