Chili’s shifts back to Ziosk for tabletop tablets

Casual-dining brand rolls out pay-at-table platform to more than 1,100 locations

Chili’s Grill & Bar, the division of Brinker International Inc., has returned to tabletop tablet provider Ziosk for its order-payment platform.

The Dallas-based company used Ziosk tablets between 2014 and 2020, and then it moved to Presto, a spokesperson said. This is a switch back.

The companies said the partnership is for more than 1,100 locations.

“Today’s casual-dining industry is as competitive as ever, and Chili’s continues to lead in team member and guest satisfaction,” said Rhonda Levene, Ziosk CEO, in a statement. “We are thrilled to return to Chili’s nationwide, giving guests the gift of time.”

Chili’s is also using Dallas-based Ziosk’s loyalty capabilities to increase guest engagement and enrollment in the My Chili’s Rewards program. The company also provides artificial-intelligence analysis of post-dining surveys, it said.

James Butler, Brinker’s chief supply chain officer, said, “Beyond the in-person touchpoints of saving guests’ time, simplifying the payment process and even having fun while playing games, Ziosk provides us the tools to constantly improve as a brand and gives us more opportunities to make everyone feel special.”

Brinker International Inc., founded in 1975, owns, operates and franchises nearly 1,600 restaurants in the United States and 27 other countries and two U.S. territories.
