The Kentucky Mule is a bourbon lover’s dream

The Kentucky Mule is a variation of the classic Moscow Mule, which consists of ginger beer, vodka, and lime. But instead of vodka, this version gets the spirit that Kentucky knows best: Bourbon.

Bourbon is loved or liked by 34% of consumers, and known by 86%, according to market research firm Datassential. Those numbers and bourbon’s popularity tend to skew toward men. The Kentucky Mule specifically is known to far fewer consumers, just 33%, but provides an opportunity to draw in lovers of the classic version.

Datassential reports that the Kentucky Mule is found on 1.1% of U.S. restaurant menus, up 83% over the past four years.
