Wingstop to offer online ordering

DALLAS The Wingstop chicken wing chain is rolling out an online ordering system after a 120-store test in which the average online sale was double the typical in-store transaction, the franchisor said.

Wingstop president James A. Flynn said the online ordering test also revealed “operational time efficiencies,” particularly during the brand’s weekend crunch.

“We noticed customers really like the convenience of ordering online on nights of big games, too,” Flynn said.

Flynn said the rollout to all 600 Wingstop stores would extend through 2008. The price of adding the service was not disclosed by the company, which is based here.
