DUBLIN OHIO Wendy’s International Inc., based here, said it has introduced a new line of premium T. Marzetti Co. salad dressings that are all-natural and contain no preservatives. —
Wendy’s also said the new dressings contain about 10 percent to 15 percent less sodium than previous selections. —
The new dressings have been developed to complement the chain’s four Garden Sensations entrée salads and two side salads, all of which are made fresh throughout the day with chopped romaine and iceberg lettuce. —
The new dressings will come in individual packets and be branded with the Marzetti name. —
Marzetti, which has supplied Wendy’s with dressings for more than 20 years, also will provide annual financial support to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The foundation, which was founded in 1992, helps 140,000 foster care children across North America who are eligible for adoption. —
It also works to streamline the adoption process and make it more affordable for families. —
“We’re proud to partner with an outstanding supplier who supports our signature charity, the Dave Thomas Foundation for adoption,” said Wendy’s chief executive and president Kerrii Anderson. —
The new line of Marzetti dressings include Oriental Sesame, Ancho Chipotle Ranch, Italian Vinaigrette, Honey Dijon, Classic Ranch, Supreme Caesar, Light Classic Ranch and Balsamic Vinaigrette. —
Some operators also may feature Chunky Blue Cheese, Thousand Island, Light Honey Dijon and Fat Free French. —
