CARROLLTON Texas T.G.I. Friday's restaurants today unveiled its new limited-time-offer summer beverage program, which features "Fresh 'Ritas" margaritas through Sept. 3. The drink is served in glassware that customers can purchase for $3 when they buy the margarita or for $4.99 as a standalone purchase.
The Perfectly Fresh 'Rita is a combination of premium 1800 Silver Tequila and a signature fresh sour mix.
The Fresh Blueberry Mango 'Rita features Malibu Mango Rum, Cuervo Gold and blueberries that are blended.
The Fresh Raspberry Cherry 'Rita is a mixture of Cuervo Gold, Triple Sec, raspberries and cherries.
The Fresh Tropical Passion 'Rita includes passion fruit and guava with Cuervo Gold and Triple Sec.
The average price for the Fresh Rita and Blueberry Mango Rita is $7.49. The average price for the raspberry-cherry and tropical passion versions is $6.99.
Matt Durbin, director of beverage marketing and research and development for T.G.I. Friday's restaurants, a division of Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, said the beverage program emphasizes "fresh" in these summer drinks.
Carlson Restaurants Worldwide operates or franchises more than 1,000 restaurants in 55 countries, including T.G.I. Friday's, Friday's Front Row Sports Grill and Friday's American Bar.
