Krispy Kreme names new marketing head

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. has tapped Dwayne Chambers as its new senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

In the newly created role, Chambers will be responsible for all domestic and international marketing initiatives. With more than 20 years of experience in the foodservice industry, he assumes leadership of the 630-unit quick-service doughnut chain’s marketing division, effective Sept. 27.

“We are excited to have found Dwayne Chambers,” said Jim Morgan, Krispy Kreme’s president and chief executive. “Dwayne has the broad QSR marketing experience and brand development expertise to help us take our brand to the next level.”

Before joining the Winston-Salem. N.C.-based Krispy Kreme, Chambers served as senior vice president of marketing and brand development for Fuddruckers. Previously, he held senior marketing posts for other restaurant chains including Sonic, Red Robin and Noodles & Company.
