Dunkin' eyes pizzas, flatbread sandwiches

CANTON Mass. Dunkin' Donuts said it planned to introduce several new, all-day menu items when it unveils its latest "new concept" location in Philadelphia on Friday. The new items include a line of flatbread sandwiches filled with a choice of three cheeses, ham and cheese, or turkey, bacon and cheese. Personal breakfast pizzas, topped with egg and cheese, or sausage, egg and cheese, also are being rolled out.

In addition, the chain is featuring warm baked goods throughout the morning and afternoon, including freshly baked muffins, croissants, gourmet cookies and brownies.

The 5,800-plus-unit coffee-and-baked goods chain gradually has been broadening its menu as it continues to expand its focus beyond the 57-year-old brand's traditional breakfast stronghold.

The remodeled Philadelphia location, one of Dunkin' Donuts first "new concept" outlets in the country, features a new logo and a warm bakery display at the front counter.
