Domino's expands ordering options with TiVo deal

ANN ARBOR Mich. Domino’s Pizza has partnered with TiVo Inc. to allow consumers to order a pizza using their TV sets and track its delivery.

TiVo users who see a commercial for Domino’s can click “I want it” through their remotes to place orders and can expect delivery in about 30 minutes, said Rob Weisberg, vice president of precision and print marketing for Domino’s.

TiVo subscribers can access their pizza orders from various entry points on the TiVo user interface including Gold Star Sponsorship, Program Placement, Interactive Tags in live TV spots and through Music, Photos, Products & More by clicking on “Order Your Domino’s Pizza Now.”

Subscribers can use their TiVo remote to customize their orders and enter their delivery address. They also can set up an account at www.dominos.com so that whenever they use their TiVo remote to place orders they can log in with an account number.

“This is the first time in history that the ‘on-demand’ generation will be able to fully experience couch commerce by ordering pizza directly through their television set,” Weisberg said in a statement.

Domino’s has nearly 9,000 units worldwide.
