Copeland’s parent teams up with New Orleans Saints

NEW ORLEANS Al Copeland Investments, parent to 30 restaurants, hotels and comedy clubs, and a well-known New Orleans hospitality company, is partnering with the New Orleans Saints to become an official sponsor of the football team and to garner branding in the Superdome’s club lounges.

One lounge will be named “Club Copeland’s,” and will serve selections from Copeland’s 20 restaurants. The Superdome’s three other club lounges also will feature the Southern cuisine from Copeland’s, the company said in a statement Monday.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Saints to provide fans with an exciting new experience at games,” said Al Copeland Jr., chairman of the Al Copeland Investments. “My father, Al Copeland, Sr., always taught me about the importance of investing in the community where you do business.”

In addition to the game-time cuisine, a new fan game will feature Copeland restaurants. At a designated time during each Saints game, boats representing different Copeland restaurants — Copeland’s of New Orleans, Copeland’s Cheesecake Bistro and Copeland’s Social City — will race. The winning boat will provide fans with a free appetizer at the respective winning restaurant location.
