B.R. Guest taps Gaudelet as COO

B.R. Guest Restaurants, the rapidly expanding upscale dining company based in New York, named hospitality industry veteran Alexandre Gaudelet chief operating officer, effective immediately.

In his new role, Gaudelet will oversee B.R. Guest’s corporate operations and report directly to president and chief executive Stephen Hanson.

“We are thrilled to have Alexandre Gaudelet join our team,” Hanson said in a statement. “It is an exciting time at B.R. Guest Restaurants with two properties opening in early September and two more in development for later this fall. … With his extensive knowledge and experience within the hospitality business, he is the ideal person to help oversee the continued development and expansion of B.R. Guest Restaurants.”

Before joining B.R. Guest, Gaudelet served as vice president of food and beverage for the MGM Grand Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. He also managed partnership restaurants with Joel Robuchon, Tom Colicchio, Michael Mina, Wolfgang Puck, Emeril Lagasse and Stephen Hanson.

Gaudelet replaces Michael Jacobs, who left in 2008 to become president of the Crunch Fitness gym chain. His duties were split between three B.R. Guest executives.

B.R. Guest owns and operates such restaurant concepts as Dos Caminos, Wildwood Barbeque, Ruby Foo’s, Blue Water Grill, Primehouse New York, and the fast-casual Bill’s Bar & Burger.
