Apple Gold names LongHorn vet Frame COO

RALEIGH N.C. Bob Frame has been named chief operating officer of the Apple Gold Group, the fifth-largest franchisee of the Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar system, officials said Thursday.

 

Frame will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the Raleigh-based company’s 71 restaurants in North Carolina, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

 

 

 

Most recently, Frame was a regional vice president for LongHorn Steakhouse, overseeing 60 company-owned restaurants with $200 million in sales. Before that, he spent 13 years in various executive positions at Waffle House.

 

 

 

Frame earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a master’s degree in science management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Based in Lenexa, Kan., Applebee’s Services Inc. operates or franchises more than 2,000 Applebee’s restaurants. It is a subsidiary of Glendale, Calif.-based DineEquity Inc.
