850 Subways in L.A. to add breakfast

LOS ANGELES More than 850 Subway units in Los Angeles will add breakfast service on Oct. 22, according to chain representatives. The menu, which will be offered as of the units’ new opening time of 7 a.m., will include a biscuit-based product that is unavailable at the 7,000 Subway stores nationwide that already offer breakfast.

About 550 of the Los Angeles outlets will offer Newhall Roasting Coffee at breakfast, and 20 locations will shift to 24-hour operations
