Casual-dining operator Ted’s Montana Grill has become the first national restaurant chain to partner with Greener Fields Together, the sustainability and local produce program created by PRO*ACT. Together the two said they would further their commitment to pro-environmental strategies.
George W. McKerrow, chief executive of Ted’s and co-founder of the 44-unit chain with Ted Turner, called the partnership “a big initiative for us this year. … It will enable us to move through the country in different growing cycles and to purchase local, sustainably grown, in-season vegetables through our local PRO*ACT distributor.”
