Kraft: 'Proudly Served in Proud Support' campaign a success

A.1. Steak Sauce and Team Red, White & Blue partner with restaurant operators to salute U.S. military

Kraft Foodservice is seeing success with its “Proudly Served in Proud Support” campaign, the result of a partnership between A.1. Steak Sauce and Team Red, White & Blue (RWB), a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of retired members of the U.S. military.

The partners rolled out the marketing campaign nationally to the foodservice industry with branded “Proudly Served in Proud Support” merchandising materials that promote both Team RWB and A.1. Steak Sauce. Operators who featured these merchandising materials in their restaurants over the past several months helped raise awareness and generate support for veterans returning from combat.

“We wanted to recognize the sacrifice and courage of our country’s military. The best way to honor their bravery was to support an organization dedicated to serving returning veterans,” said William Johnson, associate business manager for A.1. “A.1. Steak Sauce is all about enriching the meal experience, so Team RWB’s mission really resonated. We are privileged to partner with such a terrific organization.”

Team RWB’s mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their communities through physical and social activity. The organization sponsors events and develops confidence-building programs that help veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder build relationships and a community, making the transition to civilian life a healthier one. Those programs include weekly fitness activities and monthly social events to help veterans participate together in local races and events.

“We are so happy with our partnership with A.1. Steak Sauce, which has helped raise awareness for our organization and has already helped so many veterans,” says Mike Erwin, founder of Team RWB. “We know this is just the beginning. With the help of A.1. Steak Sauce and participating operators, we can continue to grow Team RWB and develop new programs and events that benefit our communities.”
